Wiki Guardian/Admin?

Hey! I mostly edit Minecraft Wiki, but I very occasionally visit this wiki due to being a part of GRASP. I've seen you editing this wiki quite a bit and your work here has been great; awesome job identifying vandalism, reverting unconstructive edits, creating content, and cleaning up pages. Overall, I believe you would be a wonderful candidate for the Wiki Guardian role. A Wiki Guardian is essentially an Administrator; they have the ability to rollback vandals, block unconstructive editors, and delete unwanted pages - it sounds like a big responsibility, but it really isn't that big of a deal. We need admins/guardians here; we currently have none, but there are quite a few administrator tasks that need doing; blocking vandals, rollbacking, deleting spam pages, etc. You are really our only consistently active editor here and it seems like it would be helpful for you to have admin tools for the work you're doing. A member of the Gamepedia Staff agreed that you'd make a good admin here when I briefly brought it up on the Gamepedia Slack. If you're interested, I strongly encourage you to go to Special:ClaimWiki and fill out the form there; I think it's very likely, if not definite, that your claim would be accepted. I'd be happy to answer any questions that you may have. Again; thank you for your work here and I hope you consider this!--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 01:30, 6 December 2018 (UTC)

Hi, Madminecrafter12. Thank you for the heartwarming message. It feels good to be recognised by a community member.
I would like you to know that I have just finished filling out my application to become an administrator for this wiki. Without your support, I never would have considered applying. The button that says "CLAIM THIS WIKI" appeared quite a while ago, but I was so worried about a rejection, that I didn't bother to apply. After reading your reassuring message, I stopped worrying and finally filled out the application. Besides, even if I don't become an admin, it's not like it will stop me from making edits.
I really appreciate the time you took to write me, and I wish you well on the Minecraft Wiki. --Diriector Doc 1 (talk) 23:11, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
Even just what you said in your reply shows that you have a suitable temperament to be an admin, imo. I appreciate your being so willing to help the wiki and having the courage to fill out the application. Honestly, most successful claim wiki requests I've seen are by users who actually have little experience with necessary areas, you're probably one of the most experienced users I've ever seen on a wiki who is not an admin; in fact, my wiki guardianship request on a wiki was accepted when I had made merely 100 edits, had no vandalism-fighting experience on the wiki, and had just made one request for a fully-protected page edit; and the previous wiki guardian of the wiki had only 30 edits, no experience with admin-related areas, and had just started editing the day they filled out the application and got accepted! I would actually be very surprised if your request does get rejected; if it does, however, I hope you don't take it personally and I appreciate that you're still willing to edit the wiki even if it is. Good luck!--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 23:29, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
And congrats, you're Wiki Guardian now. :-)--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 16:54, 7 December 2018 (UTC)

Mobile theming on Fandom

Hello Director Doc,

Last week Fandom made opt-in available for Mobile theming. This was a long-requested feature and we're glad to see it finally come to light. If opted in, the mobile theme will pull from the current theme designer. To opt-in, there should be no contrast issues. As I see right now, there is some contrast issues with light mode skin, as the accent and link color are both shades of light blue. But not too worry, the system offers some suggestions on similar shades of blue for the accent color.

Is the Brawlhalla community interested in opting into mobile theming?

Hi there
The opt-in for Mobile Theming is in consideration. And since no decision has been made, at this time, there is no hurry to opt in. This wiki will remain how it is for now, but a decision to opt in may be made in the near future.

Extension Review

Hello Diriector Doc, I have another Fandom update for you. Today, Fandom announced the return of the Extension Review, allowing for users to once again nominate MediaWiki extensions they'd like. Except this time it would be for the whole platform. These extensions will be reviewed on a quartlery basis, and you can nominate extensions for Q1 next year by December 21st.

You can learn more about the Extension Review returning here.
