Overview

A master Capoeirista and a deadly assassin, Vivi dances into Brawlhalla! 💃🏿

With her lucky Blasters (complete with cat charm), and Battle Boots named after aerial attacks, Vivi’s graceful moves are as dangerous as they are mesmerizing. When she’s not participating in the Grand Tournament, she loves updating her cat blog, “Across the Unifurs”. 🐱

Patch 8.07 also brings a complete overhaul for custom and offline game settings, New Spear & Blasters Test Features, a new Map: Apocalyptic Chasm & Brawl of the Week: Apocalyptic Target, and expression controls in the Image Render tool. 🖼️

Get ready to break out the spades and tend to your gardens! Bloomhalla 2024 brings springtime seasonal items to Mallhalla when it arrives next week, on April 17th! 🌱

New Legend: Vivi

  • Vivi – “The Deadly Dancer”
  • Weapons: Blasters, Battle Boots
  • Stats: 6 Strength, 5 Dexterity, 4 Defense, 7 Speed

“In Valhalla, Vivi’s Capoeira has become very popular as a group activity. She loves to gather a crowd for a lively roda. It’s one of the few times Xull actually smiles, and not as a threat. Residents can also keep up with her cat blog, “Across the Unifurs.”

As a former freelance assassin, Vivi has been many different people throughout her life. She arrives in Brawlhalla with 3 new Skins representing different snapshots.

Covert Ops Vivi – “Taking out any target before they even notice she’s there.”

  • For the most top secret assignments, taking out high value targets like supermodel-villain, Da Mal or the villain-hand model, One Eye Da Mal.

Grau Mestra Batista – A master that learns, a student who teaches.

  • For Viviana Batista’s contributions as a mentor, she was bestowed the title of Grand Master by the Capoeira community. A commendation of the highest order.

Streetwear Vivi – Que da hora!

  • As one of the most stylish residents of Valhalla, no activity is too mundane for Vivi to put together a great look!

Game Settings Overhaul

When setting up Custom and Offline Games, players now have more customization options to choose from! ⚙️

In the “Settings” menu, we added a new tab: “Variation”, that let’s you select different configurations for nearly every mode in Brawlhalla. Try never-before-seen game configurations like Morph Kung Foot, Strikeout Bubble Tag, Switchcraft Temple Climb & many more!

We also separated the Weapons & Gadgets tabs, allowing players to control Gadget Spawn rates, as well as the existing gadget picker – which is now always visible on corresponding game modes. Want to play a game with no weapon spawns but countless spawns for the beloved Spike Ball? Now you can!

We also added a “Variation” tab to Training Mode that allows you to select a new “Morph” option. Now you can enter Training mode and cycle through 3 selected Legends and/or Crossovers by pressing the Weapon Throw Button! ⚔️

The possibilities are practically endless! 🎮

New Test Features

In Test Features, we’re introducing new versions of the Blasters and Spear Down Air Light Attacks when they’re performed close to the ground. Now they visibly collide with the ground and the hitboxes have been adjusted to allow for new kinds of hits. This makes Blasters and Spear more consistent with the rest of the Weapons.

Game Improvements

Gameplay

  • Improved spawn positions across all Maps – particularly when playing matches with more than four players.
  • The Bounty Game Mode now includes more sets of different levels! Try it in custom modes!
  • Decreased the default sound volume for the coral spike on Bikini Bottom and the walls on Terminus.

UX

  • When acting as the lobby leader, players will now stay as the lobby leader even after backing out to spectate.
  • The role of lobby leader can be given to anyone in the lobby, including a spectator.
  • You can now scroll through the Meet The Legends screen with a “side arrow” input on PC/Mac and similar inputs on console.

Art & Animation

  • Added custom Emote variations to SpongeBob for Mammoth Ride, Calculated, Mongoose, and Deep Space Laps.
  • New still image for the King Jellyfish KO Effect in Mallhalla.

UI

  • The Image Render Tool now lets you change a Legend’s expression!
