Battle Boots

Battle Boots are one of the Weapons in Brawlhalla, added in Patch 7.02.
As the name implies, the Battle Boots are a set of heavy boots that focus on flashy, kick-based attacks. Many of the Battle Boots' light attacks can be altered with active inputs. These active input attacks are primarily used to change the user's positioning after an attack, giving the player more openings for different kick combos.
The Battle Boots are the first weapon in Brawlhalla that aren't held in the player's hands, and thus have very unique movement animations to ensure Battle Boots users aren't confused for unarmed players.
Kit
Ground Attacks
Neutral Light
The user lets out a quick flurry of kicks with one foot. If it connects, the user follows through with a slightly stronger kick from their other foot.
Side Light
The user swiftly springs forward, spinning boots-first with two kicks.
This attack is affected by active input on hit:
- Forward input: The opponent is kicked three times, the final kick being a jump which makes the user airborne.
- No input: The opponent is kicked three times, the final kick keeping the user grounded.
Down Light
The user performs a low leg sweep.
This attack is affected by active input on hit:
- Down input: After the leg sweep, the user performs a jumping downward kick, making the user end grounded.
- No input: After the leg sweep, the user performs a jumping side kick, making the user end airborne.
Air Attacks
Neutral Air
The user performs a backflip kick over their head. This hits in front, above, and behind the user.
Side Air
The user performs two forward kicks, one with each foot.
This attack is affected by active input on hit:
- Forward input: After the first two kicks, the user strikes with a spinning kick, making them travel forward.
- No input: After the first two kicks, the user performs a stronger kick with both feet. This knocks the opponent away, and keeps the user in the same place.
Down Air
The user kicks with two diagonal-downward kicks.
This attack is affected by active input on hit:
- Down input: The user will continue diagonally downward through the opponent with the second kick.
- No input: The user will jump off the opponent with the second kick.
Recovery
The user performs three upward spinning kicks.
Ground Pound
The user dives downward, performing a leg drop when the attack is released - this leg drop has a larger attack range if used before the ground. The user is also able to move forward (the direction they were facing at the beginning of the attack) while holding the attack.
Movement
- Dashing forward will make the player run with their hands out behind their back.
- Dashing backwards makes the player do a backflip.
