Avatars
A handful of avatars have existed in the game files that go unused.
Avatar | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
Bear1 | An avatar of the bear from Bödvar's Hammer Neutral-Sig. | |
|
coffee2 coffee3 |
Unused versions of the Dolce Latte avatar. "coffee2" features a completely unique design, while "coffee3" is the same as the Dolce Latte avatar but with no text and a larger logo on the cup. |
Cupcake1 Cupcake2 Cupcake3 |
3 separate unused avatars that reference Cassidy's Cupcakes. The first two use the cupcake design featured on the main screen to access Cassidy's Cupcakes, while the third uses the crudely drawn cupcake design used in the actual minigame. | |
Default | This avatar features a stylized head of Nick Dolce from BMG. It was shown on the dev stream that revealed avatars, where it replaced the default avatar and they confirmed it was only used for testing avatars. The head in this avatar is still used in-game on the Dolce Latte avatar and as the silhouette for bot player avatars. | |
Helm | An avatar of a viking helmet. This helmet is used in-game as the icon for the Dodgebomb gamemode in custom lobbies. | |
Knotwork | An avatar of the Norse Valknut symbol. This may not have been used due to the default avatar also being a Valknut and because of another avatar named Knotwork, which also features a Nordic symbol. | |
Mammoth | Likely an unused version of the BMG avatar that only devs can use. | |
Mordex is Coming | An avatar of a hand with green energy flowing from it. It would later be redesigned into the Enter Mordex avatar. This avatar is re-used directly from BMG's previous game, Dungeon Blitz, where it is used as an icon for the necromancer class. It is unknown why it was named after Mordex. | |
RIP RIP2 |
2 unused designs for avatars with the word "RIP" on it. Likely unused due to the RIP tombstone avatar in-game. | |
Salt | An avatar with the salt shaker from the So Salty emote. | |
Summer | An avatar with a beach ball used in UI elements during the Heatwave Event. | |
Unknown | This avatar has the id "Queue". This was likely planned to show as the avatar (or even on top of the player's avatar) while they are queued for a match. | |
Unknown User | A question mark on a blue background. This avatar has existed since the avatars were added to the game, but has never been used. Given its name, it was likely planned as a fallback avatar if a player couldn't be identified. | |
DreamHack avatars | These four avatars were made for the 2018 DreamHack Austin, Montreal, Summer, and Valencia events respectively. They were likely intended to be given to the participants of these events, however some participants have said they never received any of these avatars, and there is no evidence that anyone owns them. | |
Esports Avatars | Esports Avatars are only given to players from an Esports organization. Because of the few players who have these and players who change organizations, there is little info on which ones are used and unused. Additionally, many Esports avatars have been removed fully from the game over time. For a list, see Removed Esports Avatars. |
Avatars without graphics
Certain unused avatars do not have graphics associated with them, and were only ever present as names in Brawlhalla's code.
Name | Description |
---|---|
Cursed Snake | Unused avatars from the first Battle Pass. If these were to be equipped, they would simply show as a transparent avatar. |
Hollow Light | |
Fangs | |
forestdenizen | Planned to be added with the Season 6 Battle Pass. This would only show in the game's code before season 6's release, ultimately getting removed and replaced with the Daughter's Luminary avatar. |
Altered designs
Some avatars that exist in the game have had their designs changed.
Name | Old Design | Final Design | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Lvl 1 Imp | The Lvl 1 Imp avatar from the Season 7 Battle Pass had an old design that was briefly present in the news tab promoting the avatars. The old design resembles a blue gargoyle from the Horde mode. |
UI Themes
Both unused and redesigned UI Themes exist in the game files.
Unused UI Themes
UI Theme | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
The Jötunn Seal | This UI Theme is labeled as "Crystal" in the game files, but also has a name attached to it in the game code. How it would have been obtained is unknown, but it wouldn't have been through the Store. | |
unknown | This UI Theme is labeled as "Gemmed" in the game files. It has no known connected name. | |
N/A | Sands | This UI Theme only exists as a name, using the Collector's Insignia for its appearance. It is unknown if it was even planned to be an actual UI Theme. |
Redesigned UI Themes
UI Theme | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
Brawler's Insignia | This design was used for the default UI Theme in early versions before Brawlhalla entered beta. | |
Collector's Insignia | This is the planned design for the Collector's Insignia, however it was never used as the Collector's Pack was not released before its redesign. |
In addition to having a visual change, the Collector's Insignia has previously been named "Might of Asgard".
Podiums
While there are no known unused podium designs, the Default Podium has two designs that go unused.
Image | Description |
---|---|
This is the original design for the Default Podium, which was updated in version 5.00. While unused on players, it is still used when previewing items in the Store. | |
This design was only used for the Hellboy Event, tinted red to match the red lobby background. |
