Promotional Distributions

Promotional Distributions are DLC-like distributions of items, typically as limited time offers. These can be held for a variety of reasons, including for events, tournaments, or sponsor collaboration.

Direct Distributions

Direct distributions are added directly to the player's account without needing to enter any code.

Event Titles Starting with the 2020 Anniversary Event, a title is granted to all players who login during each event. These titles are exclusive to the event and the year they were distributed.


Free Rewards Under specific conditions, players can find a "Free Rewards" button on the main menu, through which they can watch advertisements to earn cosmetics.

Mobile Launch Bear'dvar

In celebration of Brawlhalla's launch on iOS and Android, players could receive the Bear'dvar skin for free by logging in on any platform from August 6 - 20, 2020.

Players who already owned the skin were instead given Coin Mammoth.png 100 for logging in.

Xbox Welcome Bundle Starting November 6, 2018, all Xbox players earn Dark Age Orion, Trident, and Thumbs Up! for free. This promotion is still ongoing, and it is unknown if it will ever end.
Mordex Release Logging in from March 29 - April 5, 2017 would instantly grant the player this avatar (promotion for Mordex's release).

1 Million Followers Avatar From March 31 - April 14, 2021, players could receive this avatar by logging in. This is in commemoration of Brawlhalla reaching 1 million followers on Twitch.

The Tale of Iroh Logging in during the Avatar Event (November 16 - December 14, 2022) would instantly grant this avatar.

Thea Release Logging in from March 8 - 29, 2023 would instantly grant the player this avatar (promotion to tease Thea's release).

Green Game Jam 2023 Logging in during Patch 7.11 (August 9, 2023) would grant this title, promoting the "Mako Saves the Ocean" campaign with Green Game Jam 2023. Wavemaker
Alienware Steam Machine Around November 2015, Alienware released the Alienware Steam Machine, a steamOS based PC. Purchasing this PC would grant items in several games, including Dark Matter Vraxx and Coin Mammoth.png 200 in Brawlhalla.

Store Code Distributions

Store Code distributions are given to the player as a unique 12-digit code, which can be redeemed in-game in the Store on any platform (except iOS).

Viewership Rewards The Viewership Rewards program is how most store codes are distributed. During official Dev Streams and tournaments, players can watch to earn codes for items on currently available tracks. These include both regular items and items exclusive to Viewership Rewards.


Twitch Drops Similar to Viewership Rewards, Twitch Drop campaigns are available that distribute store codes through Twitch's own drop system.


Prime Gaming Bundles In the past, Prime Gaming would offer a new cosmetic bundle each month in the form of a store code.
These promotions ran from August 2021 through October 2023.


MillionPugs Partnered with BMG, MillionPugs is a browser extension that allows users to earn in-game items by shopping online. A selection of Brawlhalla skins and items can be earned as rewards through MillionPugs' website.


The Yetee Teros Purchasing any Brawlhalla merchandise from The Yetee store will give a code for The Yetee Teros skin.
The Gifts of Asgard The Gifts of Asgard are a skin set of light-colored weapon skins. Each of the weapon skins in this are unlocked through giveaways by following different Brawlhalla social media. Some of these weapon skins can also obtained through Twitch Drops


Charity Space Race Cassidy During the September 25, 2020 charity stream, a giveaway was promoted on Brawlhalla's social media. Players who followed Brawlhalla devs on Twitter and entered the giveaway would receive a code for the Space Race Cassidy skin.
Butterfingers Radiant Ember From August 4 to September 20, 2020, a promotion was held with Target and Butterfingers, where buying a Butterfinger from Target and uploading the receipt on a special site would grant a code for the Radiant Ember skin.
SteelSeries Cryptomage Diana

The Cryptomage Diana skin was available through two separate SteelSeries giveaways:

  • From February 23 - March 2, 2021, a giveaway was held on SteelSeries' website only for T-Mobile Tuesdays customers.
  • From April 24 - May 9, 2021, another giveaway was held on their website for anyone to participate in.
SteelSeries GG Sword In April of 2022, downloading the SteelSeries GG app and enabling the "Moments" feature, users can earn a code to unlock the Apex Keysword. This was held as part of the SteelSeries Invitational tournament.
OMEN Oasis Title During the Omen Oasis Championship (February 26th - 27th, 2022), a giveaway was held to unlock the "In the Oasis" title. In the Oasis
OMEN Brynn Avatar During the 2021 Mammoth Invitational (September 18th - 19th, 2021), two giveaways were held that granted players a code for the Superfan Brynn avatar.

Vote Items From October 19 to early November 2020, players could receive the Raise Your Vote emote and Vote avatar from a giveaway. This was done to promote learning how to vote in preparation for the 2020 US elections.
Alienware Dark Matter Vraxx From late August to December 2019, a giveaway was held on Alienware's website that gave codes for the Dark Matter Vraxx skin.
Unlimited Space Dogfighter Vraxx

In mid-July 2023, a store code was given to a creator to share with their community. Unlike standard store codes, this code could be re-used and seemingly has infinite uses.

This code was available until September 19, 2023, when it was disabled. The code was NG20A9-AF8Z2J.

Unlimited Nightblade Hattori

On November 15th, 2023, a store code was given to a large streamer to share with their audience as part of a sponsored stream. Unlike standard store codes, this code could be re-used and seemingly has infinite uses.

This code is still available. The code is 04XPGA-25MCEX.

Mako's Reef Avatar Promoting the Green Game Jam 2023, this avatar was distributed through a giveaway (from August 9th, 2023 to early-September 2023).

Make-A-Wish Items Starting from November 3rd, 2023 during BCX 2023, player could donate $10 or more to a Make-A-Wish fundraiser and receive an avatar and a title. Only 949 sets were available through this campaign.

Metadevs While Metadev codes have been available through Viewership Rewards, prior to 2020 they could only be obtained by meeting a dev in person (such as at a tournament) or through a giveaway (during streams or on Twitter).


Tournament Avatars

Special avatars are sometimes given to participants and attendees of tournaments. These are distributed in different manners; some are given through in-person loot bags, some after confirming participation through email, etc.

Some of these avatars are also given through Viewership Rewards or other limited giveaways, such as through Twitter. However these limited giveaways are normally very small, with typically less than 100 codes given.


Official and Creator Giveaways

Miscellaneous code giveaways sometimes occur on both official Brawlhalla social media and partnered creator social media. These first occurred on Twitch, namely with the Bigaway, but are now more likely to happen on platforms like Twitter and Discord.

The difference between unofficial giveaways and partnered creator giveaways is that store codes are provided directly to creators by BMG.

Various items

Steam Key Distributions

Steam Keys were used for the earliest distributions, needing to be redeemed on the Steam client rather than in-game. These are not used for modern distributions anymore.

Community Colors

During Beta and early Release, Community Colors were distributed as a Steam code. In turn this made them exclusive to PC players. This was later changed to be a Store code so CCs could be redeemed on any platform.

Prior to Viewership Rewards, this color scheme could only be obtained through giveaways. These giveaways would be held on streams, Twitter, and content creators would be given bulk codes to do their own giveaways.

Loot Crate White Fang Gnash White Fang Gnash was originally exclusive to the subscription service Loot Crate in their July 2015 box. This Loot Crate included a card with a Steam key that granted closed beta access and the White Fang Gnash skin.

Alienware Beta From late-May to mid-December 2015, Alienware gave away Steam keys for closed beta access to Brawlhalla on their website.

Mogar and the Mad King At the Rooster Teeth expo RTX 2016, attendees could purchase the RT Box (a subscription lootbox). This box included a card with a Steam key that granted Mogar, The Mad King, and the All Legends Pack.
