Strategy/Completing Season Seven Missions

From Brawlhalla Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

This guide is intended to help players with completing missions for the Season Seven Battle Pass. Note that this guide is mainly subjective; there is no one way to complete these missions.

General Missions

Mission Strategy
Grounded Light Attack KOs

275 KOs total are needed for this mission.

The most consistent weapon to progress this with is the Greatsword, as all of its finisher attacks have high knockback and can easily KO a high damage target.

Avoid using Spear, Katars, or Blasters - none of these weapons have a Grounded Light Attack with enough knockback to reasonably secure a KO.

Play rematches

115 total rematches are required.

Rematches can be played if all players agree to it after a Ranked, Experimental 1v1, or Friendly 2v2 match.

It is easier to get rematches in 1v1 modes as you will only have one enemy that needs to accept the rematch.

Weekly Missions

Frequent Missions

These types of missions appear every week, and the strategy is similar for all of them.

Mission Strategy
KOs with specific Weapon

Simply play legends that use that weapon and you can progress this challenge over time.

If you do not feel like you are good at that weapon, you can try using a Legend who has another weapon you're more comfortable with. Once your opponent is low health, switch your weapon to the one for the challenge and KO your opponent.

Light Attack Damage with specific Weapon This will complete over time if you play Legends who use that weapon. To speed up the process, play FFA and focus on only using light attacks with the specific weapon.
Heavy Attack Damage with specific Weapon This will complete over time if you play Legends who use that weapon. To speed up the process, play FFA and focus on only using signatures with the specific weapon.

Week 1

Mission Strategy
Be gravity-canceling an Emote at the end of matches This is easiest in FFA as you can simply gravity-cancel Emote right before the timer runs out.
Win matches with 8 or more Strength

See Legends with high Strength.

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

KOs with different Ground Pound Attacks You only need to get ground pound KOs with 8 of the 15 weapons (including Unarmed).
Win matches in under 150 seconds 2 minutes and 30 seconds is short but still a reasonable amount of time to win a match. As long as you and your opponent are not too passive, or you are better than your opponent, this is fairly easy to progress.

Week 2

Mission Strategy
Win matches with 5 or 6 Strength
Click Expand to view Legends that count (not including stances).

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

KO opponents off the top of the screen This will progress over time. When your opponent is close to getting KO'd, focus attacks that knock upwards - for example, recovery attacks, Sword neutral aerial, and Signatures like Koji's Bow neutral-sig or Jhala's Sword neutral-sig.
KO opponents at least 3 more times than you get KO'd

In 1v1 modes, this would require you to get 3 KOs without getting KO'd once. You may find it easier to do this in FFA as you can get more than 3 KOs, giving you more leeway if you get KO'd.

Week 3

Mission Strategy
Win matches with Legends from Thera Legends that count for this mission:
  • Teros
  • Azoth
  • Jhala
  • Sidra
  • Xull
  • Mako
Win matches with 3 or less Strength

See Legends with low Strength.

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

Interrupt opponent Ground Pound Attacks This may be easier to do in FFA or 2v2, as in 1v1 modes the enemy will likely stop their Ground Pound if they miss you. Look for enemies trying to Ground Pound another player, and hit them mid-attack with an aerial light attack or far-reaching signature.

Week 4

Mission Strategy
Emote on an island

The following areas count for this mission:

Win matches with 8 or more Dexterity

See Legends with high Dexterity.

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

Gain Elo of any kind in Ranked matches Play Ranked matches and this will accumulate over time. Don't be worried if you lose matches; this mission does not regress when you lose Elo.
Reversal Signature KOs See List of Reversal Signatures. This may be easiest to do in a 1v1 setting because Reversal Signatures are often slow and can easily be interrupted.

Week 5

Mission Strategy
Win matches with 5 or 6 Dexterity
Click Expand to view Legends that count (not including stances).

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

KO opponents off the left side of the screen The majority of KOs occur off the left or right side of maps, so these will progress naturally over time.
KO opponents off the right side of the screen
KOs with different Recovery Attacks You only need to get ground pound KOs with 8 of the 15 weapons (including Unarmed).

Week 6

Mission Strategy
Deal 150 damage in a row without getting hit

This is easiest in 1v1 gamemodes, as in FFA there will likely be other people who damage you and ruin your streak.

Play your best character and be passive until there's a window of opportunity to combo your opponent. Once you have zoned them off the stage, keep the pressure on them, as they will be putting more effort into getting back on the stage than attacking you.

If your opponent ends up leaving and is replaced with a bot, this mission can be farmed pretty easily with low knockback attacks such as Blasters neutral light.

Win matches with 3 or less Dexterity

See Legends with low Dexterity.

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

Win consecutive matches Just win.
Get 4 KOs in a match This is easiest to do in FFA; since it is a timed mode, there are more opportunities to get KOs. It is also impossible to complete this mission in 1v1 modes.

Week 7

Mission Strategy
Spike opponents into oblivion with Signature Attacks

For this mission, wait until your opponent is at high damage, as they need to still be stunned when they fall off the map. Then, once they are near a ledge, hit them with a Signature that will launch them downwards.

Many Signatures can spike opponents downward, but to give a few examples:

  • Orion Spear Neutral Sig
  • Teros Axe Neutral Sig
  • Nix Blasters Neutral Sig
  • Rayman Gauntlets and Axe Down Sig
  • Mordex Gauntlets Down Sig
Win matches with 3 or less Defense

See Legends with low Defense.

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

Win matches as Legends used to finish top 3 in 2022 BCX 2v2

The following Legends count towards this mission:

Get KOs with different types of Attacks

Most of this will be completed over time, however you may find it quicker to do in FFA as there is more confusion and opportunities to get KOs.

For heavy attacks, use any character with signatures that you're familiar with. Almost all signatures can KO, so these shouldn't be too hard.

For grounded light attacks, the Greatsword finisher attacks are the best option as all of them give high knockback. Most other weapons' grounded light attacks have or require lots of damage for a full KO.

For aerial attacks, the Hammer has the most powerful attacks. Most other weapons are fine, however, some will not work for neutral aerials (such as Lance) and almost all other down aerials will require you and your opponent to be off the stage.

For ground pound and recovery, any weapon works as they are all rather powerful with these attacks.

Week 8

Mission Strategy
Win matches with 5 or 6 Defense
Click Expand to view Legends that count (not including stances).

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

Win matches without getting KO'd more than once Use Legends that you are most comfortable with or that have high Defense. It helps to play somewhat passively to observe your opponent's dodge and attack patterns.

Week 9

Mission Strategy
Win matches as Legends used to finish top 3 in 2022 BCX 1v1

Legends that count towards this mission:

Win matches with 8 or more Defense

See Legends with high Defense.

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

Double KOs

The best mode for this is FFA since there are more opponents to KO.

Wait until your opponents are heavily damaged, and while they are fighting try to get them both in a single attack. Use attacks with heavy knockback that can hit multiple opponents at once, such as Lance side-air or Teros's Axe side-sig. Maps with close killboxes will also help, such as Fortress of the Lions.

Hit opponents 3 times while airborne

There is no best weapon to use for this mission, but you will want to have a different approach depending on what kind of weapon you use.

Weapons like the Rocket Lance, Cannon and Scythe excel at pressuring opponents off stage with aggressive combos, with the former two weapons having lots of horizontal mobility to keep you airborne. These are good options if you're familiar with these weapons' combos and are confident in off-stage combat.

Weapons like the Katars and Greatsword are good options for opponents at low damage (taking less knockback). For both weapons, you can start with a Recovery and quickly follow with a Neutral Aerial; then just try to follow your opponent's dodge to land a third hit.

Weapons like the Sword and Blasters have easy true-combos that can get you 2 easy airborne hits. For both weapons, start with a gravity-cancelled Down Light into a Side Aerial - this gives you two easy hits, so all you have to do is search for a third one.

Other than weapon choice, this is probably easiest in FFA as there are multiple enemies you can hit. Make sure to use all your kit, including chase dodges and even letting your enemies hit you to regain jumps.

Week 10

Mission Strategy
Win matches with 3 or less Speed

See Legends with low Speed.

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

Interrupt opponent Signatures with Light Attacks This can be completed fairly easily in FFA since more people will be using their Signatures. Try to focus players that charge their Signatures a little too long or who are occupied in a separate fight.
Interrupt opponent Light Attacks with Signatures This can be slightly difficult to do, as signatures take longer to use and light attacks don't last that long to be interrupted. You may find this easier to do in FFA, as opponents will be preoccupied attacking other players. Use signatures that have a far reach and travel distance, such as Cassidy's Hammer down-sig or Mako's Greatsword side-sig - this will ensure you can hit one or multiple players while also not getting interrupted yourself.
Win matches as magic-users The following Legends count toward this mission:

Week 11

Mission Strategy
Win matches with 5 or 6 Speed
Click Expand to view Legends that count (not including stances).

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

Punish Dodges This requires you to attack someone after they have used their Dodge and put it on cooldown. Pay attention to when your opponent dodges and in what directions in order to follow and punish them. You can also try to change up your own playstyle/combos mid-fight to confuse your opponent and catch their dodges.
Win matches while wearing a hat

The following base Legends (without skins) work for this mission:

Click Expand to see the full list of skins that work for this mission.

Onyx, Vector and Tezca are the only Legends that cannot complete this mission.

Week 12

Mission Strategy
Perform 3 Weapon throws within 2.5 seconds This can easily be done in a 1v1 when your opponent is knocked out: once a new weapon drop spawns, throw your weapon upward, pickup the new weapon and throw it too, then pick back up your original weapon and throw it again.
Win matches with 8 or more Speed

See Legends with high Speed.

This can be progressed in Strikeout 1v1, allowing you to pick 2 other Legends with different stats.

Get KOs with the Active Input version of Attacks See Light Attacks with Active Input and Signatures with Active Input.
